“A determined purpose of life, and steady adhesion to it through all disadvantages, are indispensable conditions of success.”
~William M. Punshon.
Almost nothing needs adding to this punchy phrase and formula.
When we set our mind and heart on things—good things; blessed things—and we stick to our guns, patiently, no matter the breaching waves over our bow, we can eventually succeed. Indeed, we almost certainly will.
The manifestation of our success is not always what we initially hope for and we, in fact, often surprise ourselves with how things turn out.
Still, it’s success—however we come to define it.
