LIFE’S OFTEN A MISHMASH OF AWKWARDLY BALANCED DAYS. We start out, our equilibrium’s awry—either we feel too much or not enough... emotions scatty and hard to check or just simply numb to it all. Well, at least this describes the Myers-Briggs “feeler” of a sense.
But it occurs to us all. Either we have too much on or too little. We are too popular or lonely. Work is horrendously busy or it dries up.
When life is like this, and though it isn’t always, we’re tempted to think we’re islands—the only souls on the planet that feel this way. And the truth, of course, is we aren’t.
Everybody hurts for lack of “this,” or an overabundance of “that.”
And the last thing we should be feeling as a result of this unbalance is defeat. Let’s have the spiritual pluck to notice the nemesis hanging around us and flick it off. Find a mirror, smile into it, knowing that balance will soon return.
It always does.
