So many people try plans or strategies for life and they either execute the wrong plan or find they can’t succeed as they’d like. Everyone exists to have a purpose and for some, having purpose in itself is a purpose.
This is a plan for your life that will work.
It comes down to a simple philosophy: live, watch and learn.
Life is the learning ground. God puts us here to live, watch and learn. We come into the world with nothing but a brand-new body and we leave life usually with it heavily depreciated. Nothing we acquire comes with us. There’s no room in that box for anything else but our body, and perhaps something nice to wear.
We will experience many things in this life that will leave us disappointed, hurt, betrayed, abused, violated, traumatised. What is the purpose of these things other than to live through them, watch them in the process, and learn what we can? This necessarily involves the gracious process of accepting those things we can no longer change.
In those still and small moments of quiet, when we approach the realisation that what is gone cannot be changed, we gain the fresh opportunity to deal with our pasts in the only best way we can. We look back and we acknowledge what happened and we learn.
We strive to learn. It’s a plan for your life and mine that will work, not instantly but ultimately. No more bargaining with God about changing the unchangeable. Bargaining is futility. No more wasted and useless regret. Those things can be tied off. No more striving to ignore or deny what happened. The truth can be accepted, without judgment. No more anger toward people, situations and circumstances, by those who no longer care.
It is better to do what can be done, to move forward through a resolution to live, watch, learn. It’s a noble purpose full of integrity. Life will work out if we do that.
