Struggles have their definition finally in me,
I am that one that sets spiritual hearts free,
I am both the means and ends of one’s life,
I am the one who
gets you through strife.
Sometimes I’m taken for granted, that’s for sure,
But time after time trouble comes knocking at the door,
These trials and struggles do keep on attending,
So I am the one
God uses for the mending.
I am hope and I bring copious light,
In me there is plenty of strength for sight,
I am the fuel where faith is the key,
All you need do
is pray and you’ll see.
Wonder upon wonder and hope upon hope,
Do this always and you will hardly ever mope,
But realism it is that helps you know,
Sometimes without
hope, that’s the way you grow!
Against every seeming reason God removes me,
Again and again you make your plea,
Finally one day you find I’ve come back,
And you find I’ve
come back to you in no sense of lack.
I am hope and in me you’re intended,
To grow through experience in order to be mended,
Through faith I come alive but faith also needs me,
In order for you
to become all you’re predestined to be.
There’s no one who flourishes quite like me,
I am something that grows like a tree,
For God doesn’t shrink and I can only grow,
It’s best beyond
doubt that you ensure you know!
I am hope and you can be assured,
I’m always around and can always be adored,
Again by faith this is a fact beyond doubt,
But only when you
believe that I’m still about.
Then again, sometimes life tests your hope,
Those times when you end up at the end of your rope,
But I’m here to assure you, I hope you’ll agree,
Keep believing in
me and you’ll soon enough see.
I am hope and with me there’s no despair,
No matter how bad things get you’ll always have a care,
And portions of love are the energy to get through,
Despite reasons
and days when you’re comprehensively blue.
I am hope and no matter how much you ache,
I am ever present and in you I have a stake,
I believe in you because God mandates me,
To walk with you,
in his name, until you are free.

Hope lasts. Hope lives. Hope
endures ‘til the very end.
